Tattoos and Valentine Party

Okay - so it is my responsibility to call the visiting tennis club and welcome them to our club when it is a match that our club is hosting. So I called the visiting Captain and left her a message - "Hi, we are are so excited to play your team tomorrow. We will see you in the morning and we will have a Valentine party with our lunch!"

Tennis is a game and should be fun! Before the visiting team came to our club - we put Valentine tattoos on our legs, necks, biceps etc.

At lunch we had Valentine decorations - including a giant stuffed ape holding a heart (don't ask). And all sorts of Valentine candy and sweets.

When I got home my 18 year old daughter said "Mom - what is that on your leg?" I said, "It is a tattoo, we put them on at tennis." Then she said "Aren't you all like moms?"

Does age have a limit on fun? If you can't have fun playing tennis - then you should quit and find another sport or activity.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Treats for The Tennis team

Every so often it is fun to bring "Good Luck" treats to the ladies on your tennis team. This week I made mini carmel corn bags with cupid candy corn. I wanted to add Valentine m&m's but I thought that they might melt and become messy in tennis bags.

Since it is near Valentine's Day I used Valentine themed candy corn and tied the bag with a red ribbon. But this would also be a cute treat if you mixed the carmel corn with a candy and ribbon in your team colors.

I am going to add a tag to these little bags - I think it will say "Keep the Love in Tennis."

It just took about 10 minutes to make twelve bags. It will take me longer to make the little tags! Good luck on the courts this week.
